I would like to see Intel introduce a (real) high performance desktop chipset that have FSB speeds of 1333MHz, or even higher at 1666MHz or 2133MHz. This should increase the memory bandwidth up to 10GB/s or higher (in line with AMD's integrated memory controller). Then we may (hopefully) see an even larger increase in performance from Core processors. However the downside to this higher FSB is higher power consumption (which means higher TDP, possibly the reason Intel is limiting the FSB). I've seen overclockers pushed Conroes on FSB past 1600MHz...
