Thermaltake's power supplies may have improved a lot -- but why risk getting something from a company that, like the article states, uses powersupplies from a multitude of manufacturers.
In fact, it sort of brings up the question as to why this gigantic article was even written. With just a day's worth of research in PSUs, you realize that Thermaltake's power supplies aren't really worth looking at. Sure, some of them are quite fine, but why review their entire line when half aren't even worth considering for a moderns system?
I think a more useful article would have been a review of some of the more well known brands' powersupplies, specifically the popular/common models, and see how they perform on various systems -- some with mid-range through high range graphics cards and various amounts of peripherals, some SLI/crossfire configurations, etc. That way us readers can know whether the system we may be building will be sufficiently powered by a given power supply.
There are supposedly some really good quality, _inexpensive_ PSUs out there, but rarely are they ever reviewed. And I'd most definately love to see how they stack up to the more expensive "sure things".
I got nothing out of this article... it just seemed like a way to slander Thermaltake's PSU line... Now this is a useful article for people who were considering getting a Thermaltake PSU, but I don't think that necessarily helps the majority of us readers.
