1. I don't think this is exactly a very good test, maybe try a brand where you can get a 64 MB and 128 MB version, because as they said the ram is different, which makes for an unfair test

2. Your test of the gaming capabilites was fine, but why I got the board was for photos work.
I have over 300 photos, tin types etc: dating from before the Civil War and they needed a lot of work, to be put into slide shows to be viewed and downloaded from a web site. I burnt up 3 other video boards in this effort and ALWAYS ran out of memory woring on this project. Not with the Radeon! It has proven fast, reliable and the added video RAM was a GOD send. I was able to create a multi disk DVD movie with another set of photos and this 300 plus, and the board is still running strong and I still do not run out of memory. Now if I can figure out what to do with the rest of the in/out things on the back of it, I guess I can hook up to my big TV and use it as a monitor, hook up a HD TV (if I had one), though I would really like to use two regular monitors with it for before and after shots of the next 120 some photos I have just received. I used the best VIA has to offer and will not use them again. Diane [Posted by: domiles | Date: 08/09/04]
