Interesting Test. But the results would have been more representative, if you would have used other applications like Maya and Softimage XSI, too. I don't use Max but I use the other two packages. Furthermore, where is the FireGL X2? I would like to see how this card from ATI would compete against nVidia.

Hey, where is the big card of 3dlabs? Why don't you consider it? ati and nvidia don't have the lots of instruction that have the wildcat to display and to calculate a scene in 3ds max.

You should run the GeForce FX 5900 Ultra without the Maxtreme drivers - they will negatively affect the performance of that card.
Also, you should try running benchmarks using Direct 3D as well to compare relative performance (and maybe Heidi as well). You'll find most people in the gaming industry will use Direct 3D instead of Open GL because they are developing their game to run in Direct 3D. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you look at Maya for instance, are they not using Direct 3D for their display as well? I've noticed a huge performance difference on my older Quadro 2 Pro between Open GL and Direct 3D (Direct 3D being much faster in shaded view for instance). This will give you a truer picture of relative performance.

I am using a Panasonic NV MD 9000 camera and Matrox capture card. But ifeel that I can obtain better quality using a Quardro prodct. So plese let me know the suitable VGA and capturing card for vedio grafics. Also please forward me the prise and mail back to.

i have a geforce 4 mx 440 se through agp*4.
i have used River Tuner to turn it into a quadro4 550 xgl, will that give me performance agrades in areas were quardros excel
and will that change the way Need For Speed Most Wanted Handels or am i better off just downloading the latest refrance drivers?
