1. 
700 million transistors on a consumer product, wow. Not even memory transistors, but actual working transistors.

High clocks too, if the core is designed to scale to 1.5GHz. Sounds like each pipeline on the device will be much deeper however.

It'll be interesting to see this beast and how it performs.

strange, because the unified shader is exclusively in the r600 because nvidia wants to push the actual technologie to the limits and only the chips after g80 will have this feature!

Bah! This is a load of crap imo. nVidia doesn't have and wont have any unified shader HW for a while. (it will all be done via drivers) nVidia decided that the performance penalty for such an approach would be too expensive at this point in time. The whole article sounds like wishful thinking to me.
