When the article says, "Particularly, it is difficult to improve the card’s native cooling system (but it must be replaced because the card finds itself under very harsh thermal conditions even at the default frequencies)," you do not give any hints or examples.

I have no idea with which heatsink I could replace it with, since it is a very unique single-slot video card that must have single-slot cooling. Yes, there are enthusiasts with water-cooling that can do single-slot no problem, but many out there that rather stick to air when can be nearly just as effective.

Are the single-slot 7800 GT/ GTX heatsinks a good replacement for this? It probably wont fit, especially with the different memory chip configuration. Is there a way to add more fins to the heatsink on the GX2?

ok after i change the voltage to max and water cool it - how do i crank out the speed what utlity. since i am water cooling it and going to install a thermal couple to monitor the gpu. what is the best control utility?
