I have the same problem with an old board I wouldn't mind resurrecting.
It's an A-Trend (Atrend) ATA-V931-CX0.
Let me know if you find out what is necessary for the BIOS to boot the diskette. Is it a problem with the format of the diskette? Do I need to fish for an older 720MB format low density diskette? That doesn't sound right to me -- the ability to address a given floppy size is a trait inherent to the drive, not the BIOS.
