AMD is as stupid as Intel was when AMD overtook them in the 32 bit - single core days. Except for one thing - Intel always had the know how to hire brilliant chip-engineers and the capital to invest heavily in the next generation of chips. AMD should've known better than to sit on their success - AMD had their shot - Intel was 10 times bigger than them when AMD overtook them, now Intel is even bigger and stronger than before. Intel have learned their lesson well, and there is just no way AMD will be able to recoup this time. RIP AMD - no thanks to its management.
