1.
That is a competitive chart made by AMD!
Of course they are going to graph it saying they are selling more HTPCs than Intel!
If you check out AMD's site it's all about competition to it's rival! I don't care about competition! When I look for a AMD cpu, I want all the detail and features not a competitive comparison! I don't care about that!
Fix your site AMD because your going down the drain!

It's hardly surprising because of the following scenario:

Intel: We have the Intel Entertainment Pass and have signed EXCLUSIVE unique content deals with different providers. We also have teams of software and hardware people looking at device compatibility so equipment can be "Viiv Certified" so the customer can be more confident in their purchasing decisions.

AMD: We got a freeware suite you can download at our website.

Intel: Viiv costs extra to badge a PC Viiv, in addition to the minimum hardware requirements.

AMD: Live! is free, but we have a nifty sticker for the PC, thus ensuring we have a false equivalence with the other guys.

Loser: Intel because their initiative has real cost associated with it and means little to the end customer. The HTPC still has not arrived yet as we are still not fully in a hi-def world.

Who cares about this shit anyway? When you build a pc, you don't care about this viiv/live stuff. You select the processor, the ram, stick some tuner cards in there, a hefty hard drive, and install windows.
When you buy a computer, it shouldn't matter either!
