Eh...The era of the co-processor was before the 486...It went all the way back to Intel's first series of x86 processors, Intel 8086/8088.

The co-processor was Intel 8087. From then on, x87 became the designation for the co-processor. ie: 287, 387, and 487.

It was from 486DX and onwards, did Intel integrate the FPU into the CPU.

Okay guys, you run a technical website. I thought a decade was 10 years. If that is still true, then the decade doesn't end until Jan 1 2011. The last day of this current decade is Dec 31, 2010. The current decade started on Jan 1, 2001. The last day of the last decade, century, and mellinnia all ended on Dec 31, 2000, not 1999 as the song goes.

Please adjust your clocks to think correctly.

I was just going to say that. A technical website should not make these mistakes or otherwise some of the audience might think it is superficial and is looking for cheesy titles rather then straight news, and "leave".
