1. This board shines in hands of a true overclocker, don't get me wrong, same thing was said about Lanparty nF4. If you can't handle all of the options or are not ready to learn something new or simply have no experience, this board is not for you.

2. Unfortunately DFI along with all the aftermarket Asian mobo suppliers has had major product defects in recent years. DFI is no better than the others - unfortunately. Having more "knobs" to turn doesn't mean a better quality mobo per se.

To see how the entire aftermarket PC mobo market operates, read the enlightening story on Asus at the link below. In my experience and that of many others, this is exactly how Asus, DFI, Abit, Sapphire, Gigabyte and all the rest of the Asian aftermarket mobo companies operate. Quite frankly I hope they all go out of Biz and as a result that Tyan develops performance mobos for the aftermarket. At least Tyan has a clue.

4. try to add power consumption comparisons to ur tests.

5. I'm disappointed that you did not include power consumption in your test as well. Shame. That alone off sets the negitives with this board as the Nvidia 680i is a power hungry POS. Independent Memory OC'ing is a great feature to have on a Intel based platform, because memeory performance always directly affects the over all perforamance of a Intel platform. It's pretty nice to OC my ram to 1ghz without messing with the latency and while OC'ing my E6400 by 450mhz on air.

So many many positives get over looked with ATi, they are shuned in spotlight all the time.

8. hm....a rather disappointing review, due to the use of old chipset drivers, and bios settings that would not open up the FSB very well.
the overall writing is fluid and complete, but i think that the "performance" comparisons are strongly flawed, as well as the over clocking aspect.
this guide:

is very handy in getting to know the functions of the (overabundant) bios settings

using the 7.2 chipset drivers and 12/21/06 bios i am able to post my e6600 at 511x8 with aircooling. (thermalright si-128 with a 90cfm fan) stable at 488x8 with same settings.
