Hey xbit guys. I don't think you should be testing something like this on a 8800GTX. The person who buys this uses it for a x1950pro or a 7900GS perhaps. And maybe a E6600.

That cooler is not designed for heaters like 8800GTX, and its obviously going to be ineffective.

As cheap as it is i wonder about buying two of them and putting the extra radiator in line with the system, maybe thats all it needs. Then for 100 bucks you got a kick ass water cooling system. I don't know just my brain wondering.

I've installed the Aquagate Viva on a X1900XTX. The radiator is in the top 5.25" bay. My case does have a 80mm fan at the top of the case so airflow is good. I added Ramsinks to the video memory attached with a mixture of AS Ceramique and AS Alumina Epoxy. I also used the Aquagate PCI adapter to put a 70mm fan below the X1900XTX to ensure adequate air on the Ramsinks. Temperature of the GPU went from 88c underload to 51c under load (650MHz). I've overclocked the GPU to 702MHz and temperature of the GPU went to 55c under load. Memory is overclocked to 828MHz. All is fine. But the fans on the radiator are noisier than I would like when the system is under load. Under idle (36c) the fans are barely noticable.

It is wonderful to read a review written by someone with integrity. Most tech reviewers are cowards who kiss up to the company, but you tell us what we need to know about the product. Unfortunately, most readers are spineless too, so they don't deserve you.

Do any of you even own this? Then why the f*&^ do you think that we care about your opinion. What the f*&^ do you know? This cooler works GREAT! Sure, it's not as effective as some more robust alternatives, (external, $150+ water coolers) but for the price, what do you expect? Also, they may have tested a bad one, because this thing is SILENT...6420 over 3ghz and I have to sometimes check to make sure the fans/pump are even on cause I can't hear them...so if you don't own up, shut up! We don't care what you THINK...only what you know.

You guys who gave this negative feedback are morons... Obviously if you have the radiators blowing or getting air from the inside of the case then it will be hot... why not put it by an existing slot, or somewhere that you can get air from the outside of the case? Seems like that'd work alot better than what you guys decided to do. Seems like a simple idea, the heat won't just magicly disappear....

Why did you test this on a 8800 GTX that is not recomended for this product? Poor choice.
