Although the gist of this article is very accurate, the headline is just plain wrong.
Steve Jobs never 'demanded' anything - that is, he suggested that one of the workarounds for the DRM troubles is removing it. But to suggest that he made a demand is just ridiculous.
In his 'thoughts on music' letter, Mr. Jobs suggests several options for making MP3 downloads more tolerable, not just the removal of DRM.
Apple has a great product, most people have very little issue with DRM, and yes, removal of it would be great - but nowhere in his letter did Steve 'demand' anything.
