"Original design"?!
It just looks like a very bad rip-off of B&W's Nautilus speakers.

boner - must be irritating to see a case that cost more than your education.

Review is strongly biased by the reviewer's affection towards lian li. The case itself is mediocre. At that price point it should be more watercooling friendly (vide Silverstone Temjin). I see no point in criticising el-cheapo aluminium cases due to their lack of rigidness - they were ment to be light, and by the way - how many users have damaged their hardware in transport due to case design flaws? The reviewed case is extremely cumbersome, heavy and lacks sex appeal.

This case lacks a flow pattern.

The case looks interesting. In the past, computer cases look like a box which stands out if people place it in a living room or family room. This new case design can be place in room to act like furniture. Lian-Li cases does provide very, very sturdy aluminum cases.unlike other brands. I would raise my hand and buy it. This case resembles a full ATX case, so the price is within reason. I would not use this case if you transport your computer a lot during the week.

The position where the power supply is located is weird and it may have trouble if the case is placed on the carpet. Also it may be a hazard if the case is on the desk when some one spills their drink.

How old is this case now? Four years? No wonder it has a floppy drive faceplate. ;-)

It is indeed an interesting case. The black version does not look too bad either.

choosing the the "snail" concept is strange especially for a "high-end/expensive/fast" system

Honestly it's not my cup-o-tea however I'd love to use this case to design a media center for my grandparents condo in florida. As stated earlier it is almost like a piece of furniture.

Very nice article for the builder! You need to compare it to other cases for cooling? ok, i am being overly critical - i gave it an "excellent" rating.

One comment: "The design is original" this is not an original design its a shape copied many times in history its a conch shell, well its more of a snail!

If you say original by modern man its really a copy of B&W nautilus speakers - at $30,000 per pair this case is more affordable!

I like this case and this article was very informative, especially the power supply situation. I am going to make a Crazy HTPC out of it. The only fans I will use are the case fans and the PC P&C Silencer PSU fan. Everything else is going to be passive, including the processor.

I had only discovered this case recently, and just as mainstream retailers had their supplies exhausted. I found one, at last, on eBay, and "for a price, Ugati, for a price." The snail, for me, is
most reminding of things nautical, which is what I find appealing, rather than the antithesis of what many of us will place inside, that is, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor, for instance.

Now, if only it'll arrive intact.
