Actually HDMI transfers uncompressed video, so wireless HDMI needs 3Gb/s to transfer full 1080p video (1920x1080 24bit 60fps). It must use some kind of UWB technology to achieve data rates in this range, and somehow I doubt even then it could support 1080p.
