1. Good review. Would be perfect if include another important test : CPU Utilization.

Firewire has lower and rather stable CPU utilization during operation (about 13%-16% in my system); while USB 2.0 causes higher CPU utilization and fluctuates greatly (about 15%-35% in my system)

2. people can just use sites like megaupload.com to transfer files between computers instead of buying an external hard disk

And what about the difference between upload speeds between a USB/Firewire attached drive and a cable/DSL connection?

Not really the point though. To transfer a few files you could use megaupload if you have time and no other options (eg a CD drive or USB stick). To store/transfer 120GB (or even a few GB), megaupload is not a solution.

4. was doing a search for a patient from another site and found your info great in doing the id of the drive and where to get support etc. clean looking site also.It is crisp but not clinical.thanks
