How about if you try using more up-to-date benchmarks like Gun Metal, CnC Generals, Aquamark, 2k3.

How the hell can you "benchmark" newest high end video cards on games not even partly utilizing DX9? Xbit people, you're kidding right?

Is that radeon 9800 you have a golden sample too? I can only get mine to 390/630 and the heatsink gets HOT at that speed

Why didn't you show the Sapphire gaphics card? You only bothered to show the NVidia cards which doesn't make any sense since this is supposed to be a test between the Nvidia 5900 and the Radeon 9800.....?????????

Hmmmmm

Your card comparision can surly help me in deciding what to buy. but is this non-standard record demos, which you used during this test session. i down loaded the rar file but i do not know what to do with those three files stored in the archive.

oh yeah, i enjoy your reviews. You used what most other sites are using short of a dx9 benchmark. as for dx9 games.. good luck finding one.
i'd bet money the people with the negative comments use ATI cards. :o)
thanks for another good review.

I just bought a new Powercolor Radeon 9800 along with a P4 2.8C which I now overclocked to 3.2Ghz but now all I need to do is overclock my graphics card but when I am adjusting the clock speeds using Powerstrip it wont let me raise it even near to where you've gone with your R9800 even the default clockspeeds of my card were under the default Radeon 9800's which I got from ATI's website and when I installed the latest driver it kept on recognizing the AGP as a Radeon 9800 Pro. What is going on?

Geez..this is a onesided review if ever i saw one. Comparing an FX5900 and R9800 card is comparing apples to oranges. The Geforce has a higher clock speed and higher memory speed. it's like racing a v8 against a V6. ATI cards are not designed to overclock either so the card stays STABLE.. I'd like to see a true comparison of ATI and NVidia. use cards manufactured by the SAME company (I.e. ASUS) and CLOCK THEM THE SAME!! use fresh installs of windows XP for both cards, and use the same settings. See who comes out on top then. I've used both Nvidia and ATI cards, and what i notice the most in an everyday environ is that my pc with a geforce 4 mx440 runs slower than an identical pc with a RAGE PRO TURBO. (based on boot times for clean, default install for Win2000)
