1. I wonder what the temps would be if you added
a small, quiet house fan blowing on the radiator. [Posted by: Clean old man | Date: 04/25/07]
2. I'm an engineer. The use of a high flow rate pump would not help a lot in this case, the limiting factor is the transfer of heat from the radiator. A fan blowing on the radiator would help, but then the systems selling point is gone.
Another thing: in the picture of the setup on page 8 the Reserator is very cramped on the left side, this WILL affect airflow, passive cooling is very sensitive to such matters. Interesting reading, though, thanks. [Posted by: SnH | Date: 04/25/07]
3. I think it will be easier setting up the cooling system on ur car..!! seems too much hassle for reducing noise..get some high quality NIDEC or SANYO DENKI fans, mcuh more reliable and quiet if not silent.

4. If u just tilt the unit horizontally and let the water cooling sistem run for a couple of minutes the air in the cpu water block will go away...doh!So there is no need to complain about the way u can place the waterblock ;))

5. "The needles are square in profile. This is easier to manufacture than cylindrical needles, but the circulation of liquid is worse with this design."
This is interesting and should be studied more... I believe a square or diamond shaped pin matrix is better at water cooling than a cylindrical one because the turbulence induced by a sphere or cylinder is less powerful than the one from a square. True, the pressure drop is greater, but taking an example from the apogee block or many other designs that employ pins in their blocks, it is also successful. Anyways, it would be nice to see a comparison of different designs in water cooling rather than different products. [Posted by: dgr | Date: 07/06/07]
6. I'm looking for a cooling system for my computer that is silent! I run a recording studio and want my pc in the recording booth itself but when I air mic the whole room I catch alot of noise from the fans of my computer.
