Editor's Choice for a 3% improvement that costs 400$?
You guys disappointed me (a part from the benchmarks test), and this is the first time since I read you great site.

How can this memory be recomended? Say 5% gain for how much money? You might as well say the 8800 ULTRA is worth it. I realize that you have to throw the corps a bone once and awhile but PLEASE pick your spots, just not this one.

It's been widely known for years that performance increase from faster memory is very disproportionate to cost. Buying high priced memory is mostly for bragging rights, just like high priced CPUs, over-priced mobos that don't perform properly, etc. It's an ego problem...

No one can see a 5% system performance increase despite what they may claim so it's all for bragging rights. It don't mean squat. But gullible fools rush in none the less.

FWIW, the new 1066 Mhz DDR2 that runs at the same 1.8V as 800 Mhz DDR2 is more than enough for all current systems in the next two to three years. The clueless fanboys who have more money than good sense will buy the over-hyped, over-priced memory for instant gratification, not system performance.

It would seem like these memory modules are 6 to 12 months too early on the market .Even at FSB 1600 the best 680i and 965/975 can use is DDR800 , I wonder if the new P35 can hit a higher FSB(2000 maybe) and show us a real difference fromm DDR800 to DDR 1200.
Ah also , number 5 & 6 you guys should refrain fromm posting ... for ever !

This review is flawed in several ways and contains in-accurate & misleading comments.

First of all, the Corsair 9136 is compatible with the Asus Striker Extreme and run flawlessly on it.
Several people have reached 1200+ stable with them on a striker.

Secondly, your overclocking results with all three kits are quite low, way underneath the average OC results from users around the net.
Only 747 & 711 with the OCZ and the corsair 9136 at 3-3-3-10 ?
That's way bellow the average retail kit, and still under most D9Gxx chips out there.

The 4-4-4-12 overclocking results are quite low as well.
In 100 retail kits of dominator 9136 the 90% or even more will hit 1000 easily.

As for the maximum 5-5-5-15 clocks, for God's sake, only 1155 with the OCZ and the Corsair, and only 1257 with the dominator 10000 ???

you used to do nice reviews, but with this one...dear God :-(
