1. How much heat does the X1950GT generate?
I was wondering if the Accelero S1 would be able to cool an X1950XT 256MB, with a fan of course. [Posted by: robaal | Date: 06/01/07]
X1950 GT consumes about 65W. And Accelero S1 will cool down X1950 XT perfectly well, we have checked. [Posted by: Anna | Date: 06/04/07]
2. I'm trying to use the results of the X-bit labs comparisons to make a decision for cooling my new 7900GS. I'm having difficulty reconciling two of your results, though. Looking at the Zalman VF900-Cu LED in this comparison yields very different results than the VF900-Cu did in the CoolViva Pro comparison (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/coolermaster-coolviva-pro_5.html). At a slower fan speed, running the same test, the VF900 in this comparison was a full 7-8 degrees cooler at idle than in the CoolViva Pro comparison. At full load, the difference is staggering: 22-30 degrees lower! Based on these differences, I'm having a very hard time determining whether the VF900, CoolViva Pro, Accelero S1 with a fan, or CoolViva Z1 is the right cooler for me. Any clarification as to the source of the temperature differences would be much appreciated.
