Some very poorly informed replies to the information provided by Erik.
If you recall less than 12 months ago a single 8800GTX performed better than two 7800GTX's in SLi.
What's so hard to believe about this news? Could just be the reality that this may be yet another nail into the daamit coffin.

IMO, the features that are presented (by Eric) to the 9800 series will facilitate game ports from game consoles like ps3 to pc... that is more visually appealing games for the pc next year

If you think that new card is going to be fast,Then Google nVidia new Tesla C830 @ $1200-$1400 each.This is for medical researh,but can also be used for gaming,But they said it would be like using a nuke to kill a bag.You have to read the specs to see just how fast this card is.
