..."That said, it can be expected that very few owners of Sony PlayStation 3 will use the console to watch Blu-ray movies..."

How did you arrive at this conclusion? Are there any studies to back up this statement?

"That said, it can be expected that very few owners of Sony PlayStation 3 will use the console to watch Blu-ray movies..."

O common!!! Thats so bogus. I already spent a buttload of money on blu-rays and they look beautifull using the PS3. Why the hell would anyone with a PS3 not use it for BD movies? That statement is completely bogus.

Or maybe the reason why so few of the $200.00 HD-DVD player units were sold was because HD-DVD platform is very unattractive due to the lack of studio support???

Sony, Disney, Fox, Lionsgate are BD exclusive. Blu-ray just has better titles. HD-DVD only has Universal exclusives.

HD-DVD movie sales trail Blu-ray by a ratio of 70-30.

Frankly speaking, I think this article is biased towards HD-DVD favour (just like typical XBit Labs article)

They also never mentioned, many ppl who had bought that M$ external HD-DVD drive, are actually non-console users since that crappy USB thing can work with PC!
