1.
This is probably THE dummest thing i read on Xbitlabs.com.
Just read this part "the new P5K3 Premium mainboard is aimed at customers seeking for truly high performance, but not wishing to spend time on finding high-performance memory modules with robust cooling solutions and also without a plan to squeeze all the juiced out of their systems. Essentially, virtually all computer or gaming enthusiasts, except extreme overclockers, would find Asus P5K3 Premium/WiFi-AP motherboard an interesting solution."
And you dont think that "virtually all computer and gaming enthusiasts" would like to add more memory ? How would one go about it since I dont see ANY free mem slots.
Man what a dumb idea this is...

You can add 2x2Gb, and sell these two 1G modules, :)

No you can't....RAM is soldered on the PCB. And even if you are THAT good with soldering iron where are you gonna put 2x2GB. There ARE NO MEMORY SLOTS onboard.
And please next time do read article fully before you reply.

I wonder which engineer was smoking "happy substance" when they came up with that one. The fumes might have got into management...

This isn't gonna sell.

Nice idea, I don't think it will catch on though.

And if one of those RAM chips poops out on you what do you do? RMA the board?

Sounds like FUN.

Anus RMA can take up to 8 weeks or more (Asus are the PITS with returns) so if one IC bombs your up for BIG dollars

I wonder who the tool was who thought of this white elephant, 2 gigs is NOT enthusiast, yet another overprised Anus product that only fools will buy
