VG Chartz in a story? I love this. They say the following: Vgchartz.com projections are based on sampled retailer data from all over the world. The market tracking firm collects data from a carefully selected group of retailers and determines projected sales figures for entire regions with knowledge of market size, retailer market shares, retailer bias and so forth - the same methods used by larger and more established sales tracking firms.

This is not true. They do not have established relationships with retailers. They STEAL information from other market research firms and guess or estimate based on what their visitors who might work in a Gamestop or Best Buy tell them. don't believe the hype.

None the less they are pretty dam close everytime sales figures are released so what the grudge?

Sounds like someone is piised that Nintendo is market leader again. I have a ps3 and 360 but hell I tip my hat to a great company. I do enjoy the Wii aswell.

People just thought it was a gimmick. Guess more than 10 million + feel differently :)

Yessir, but the Wii is the cheapest in the bunch. Also a Fiat Punto is cheaper than a Mercedes E220 and sells more.

I'm still gonna wait for a HD version of the Wii to come out in a few years. It shouldn't take that long with all the money Nintendo now has that can be poured into R&D.
