1. Seeing as my V1 is nearly inaudible AND performs even better than my previous ultra-120 extreme.. you must have gotten a bad sample. I've got an e6750 oc'd to 3.6 Ghz with the fan running at ~1700 rpm.

2. As a fellow reviewer for another website (whose address I'm not giving for obvious reasons) I completely agree with your testing results, although I made my comparison with a Tuniq Tower 120.

A very good review (as always).

6. Thats odd, i have a Thermaltake V1 cooling my OC'ed Q6600 and works like a charm. Wonder why it failed in their tests...

7. I have been using a Thermaltake V1 for 2.5 months on a g0 stepping Q6600 with a VID of 1.3125,and its overclocked to 3.2Ghz/1.2950 vcore with no issues.Encased in a Thermaltake Soprano DX,with 2 120mm intake/exhaust fans running at 1400rpm.This system can run OOCT,Prime 95 25.4 with small FFT,or Sandra cpu burn for days on end.WhenI first installed it,temps were bad to say the least, after a few days I decided to take it all apart and rebuild/re moun the sink with fresh AS5,I found out that I forgot to take off the plstic base protector it comes with... My idle temps of 65c
@ 3.2Ghz dropped to 42c and loads whent form 75c to 63c...

I now use a Thermalright ULTIMA 90I,plus Scythe S Flex 1600rpm 120mm fan,but the V1
did just fine when I did use it on a overclocked g0 quad.Your results dont add up with other tests on other sites at all.I have abeen a long timer reader and love the articles here, but this one doesnt add up.Maybe you did get two bad samples....
