1. im, im a newbie so, how do i lock up the L2 bridges?

2. How I know what model is my CPU?? I hace a Thoroughbred core 2100+

and what kind of device I need to make the line in the CPU L2 bridge??

3. Such classifiying is made under a test basis as far as i know. As all the components of an electronical device, no matter if it's a cpu or a radiator, has a tolarance percentage which can not be exacly calculated before the device is set up. After the CPU is produced it just is simply stress tested and marked to satisfy some needs,working frequency, temperature, voltage etc, and the classification kicks in in this point , it's just a recommended working candition that the producer decide, it's your own responsibility if you force it to other values . You may end up with a dead CPU in any attempy no metter you set up all the precautions. In any case you are shortening the life of the component(s) inside the CPU which cause your CPU to last much less. (It's like trying to draw 1A current from a 500ma power supply, you damamge the power supply less than a month)

4. I have locked L2 bridge on my Thorton 2000+ but no succes - CPU-Z shows that I have stil 256kB cache only... :(
Any idea, whats wrong?

8. the colour of my thorton cpu is green and the bridges are not exposed... anu idea hoaw i can enable the 512k cache by shorting some pins instead? (i mean like u can shotr some pins to modify the multiplier instead of connecting the bridges...) thanx

I was wondering if any of you were successfull at enabling the 512Kb of L2 cache on your AMD Thorton CPU. I just but one Today and was reading the web to see how I could get the most juice out of it! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

9. I just bought the thorton 2400+ because it was the fastest i could get to fit my motherboards 266 fsb. If I do the bridgin does my mb support it anymore? Specs of my mb: http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=A7V266-C&langs=01

11. to control the cache using the l2 bridges on the outside, the l9 bridges have to be closed. on my thorton model 10 the bottom contact point of the l9 bridge has been laser cut out, so instead of 16 of those contact points like in the picture above, I only got 12 (because the whole bottom row of l9 is missing/cut out). Don't even try this unless your l9 bridges are closed first.

12. how do i conect L2 ...with a pencil won't work. please help...i'm a newbie. 10x

13. How can I find out what kind of model I have, I olny know that its with a thorton core. Is there any good walkthrough for unlocking the L2 bridge?
