1. First! I've never done that before. I don't see the big deal though.

2. Well, with a smaller process the chips put out less heat, meaning the heat dissipation system may actually prevent overheating for once and curb the RROD "disease" going around 360's.

Although, teh word on teh street is that it's the ATI GPU's which are the main culprit and they're staying at 90nm for the moment and not move to 65nm 'til later. Meaning the problem may still persist. Just rumor, 'tho.

And of course, MS makes more money per 360 sold...

3. Maybe this will solve Microsoft's warranty problems with the Xbox.
