The title says:
Advanced Micro Devices to Start New Process Technology Ramp in Q1 2008

However what I read in the artice was Q1 2009?
Some date mistake?
Because if true AMD would be releasing their 45nm at the same time Intel did.

They may show BarZa cause they want us to that they have ability to made it. But they may not interest to made it in mass-production cause the performance that can't obviously beat Intel.

I think they just delay Barza cause they are interest working on 45nm instead.

AMD and IBM are working together on 45nm. With that in mind, it's quite possible AMD will meet their ramp goal. Of course a ramp is not a delivery. Seems like the delivery is about 3 months after ramp.

AMD has already demonstrated working 45nm. I think their ramp goal is within reason.
