Intel has had a long history of violating patent- recall also the Intergraph case.
They've also been found guilty of violating anti-monopoly laws in Europe and Japan- this company has abused its position in the marketplace for years. They've also been so "kind" as to threaten yoga groups "Yoga Inside" and gaming sites "Intel Recon" with legal action, claiming Intel holds exclusive rights to the words "intel" and "inside". Intel likes to throw its weight around because it can. Anyone with a brain who has followed this long enough understands.

If their technology is really that great they shouldn't have to resort to such underhanded tactics. Just shameful.

I agree with you on this one...it's the reason why certain OEM 1st tier manufacturers had been "tied-up" to Intel-only products...it's a big, powerful company's way of "bullying" the competition and its "partners" (who happen to be not as filthy rich as Intel).

And with the recent lawsuits Intel is experiencing...we can see the company trying to "loosen it's noose" on big-time OEM manufacturers (i.e. Dell, etc.) in another tactic to "fool" the courts into thinking: "hey, who said we're trying to force OEM manufacturers to close their doors on the competition (i.e. AMD)? They're offering AMD products right now see?!?"...yeah right...
