1. Looks like a good alternative especially if it truly supports more than 2 channel sound and is not region coded

2. What a crap selection of films.

3. If they can fit upto 4 hours of HD on a dual layer DVD using mpeg4, why make it incompatible by needing extra layers?
Surely all those media centre PC's are crying out for affordable HD media and can read dual layer DVD now. All they need is a H264 codec and you could fit that on the DVD too!
By all means put all the extra features on extra layers if you must.
