You must install the driver/app. for the epu to work, I don't know how much power the epu saves, but the temperatures drop up to 10 degrees celsius in my system, so I think that it also decreases the power load as well.

Some mention coolers for the P5E, I have noticed that the NBridge runs quite warm on this board and so have installed a cooler that allows the fan to blow down to assist in the cooling of the NBridge chipset, seems to help with the temp numbers.

The cooler I am using is the Thermal Take Big Typhoon, it is a real tight fit, had to bend some of the cooling fins on the side nearest the back of the MB, but all works. I am also using a CoolerMaster CMStacker 830 which has a herd of cooling fans. I have switched some out for the Silenx Ixtrema Pro Series which has an air flow of 90CFM with a noise level of 18DB. I have also installed one of these on my Big Typhoon Over all system runs very cool.

Ummm elaborate on the eSATA. The ports are there but they do not enumerate eSATA hdds. What's the deal? One interesting thing - I added a small eSATA pci card using silicon image chipset and then the P5E eSATA ports work....
