1. The card being reviewed comes with NWN2, yet that game doesn't make the performance charts. Any reason why?
[Posted by: darkling lithely | Date: 12/03/07]
Exactly what i thought. I want to see how the GT Performs with NWN 2, now that they have cut down the texture units and a comparison with 3870 would be really nice.

2. The GeForce 8800 GT chip does support HDMI audio[1], but it requires redesign of the circuit board to use it.

3. "The GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB will be discontinued, while the GeForce 8800 GTS will be replaced with an updated version that has 112 active shader processors..." I thought the new 8800GTS will be having 128SP's ;-)

4. good work, and thank you for letting us see the inside of the air cooler.

5. I would say that the lack of comparison to 3800's makes the article nearly useless
[Posted by: Gang | Date: 12/03/07]
I have to say that too. The new Radeon was released one week after the 8800GT why not include it in the test. I think they (xbitlabs) were in a hurry to put ANY review to compensate for this month reviews. Thanks you for your time, but i think you should have been waited just ONE week to make it most useful. [Posted by: Jag | Date: 12/03/07]
i agree, including the HD 3870 series would've made this a bit interesting "still old" but interesting enough to go through it page by page.About waiting another week for this to complete?! - review was late already, too late actually "anandech released the review 1 month and 5 days ago" -didn't include the price/performance competitor it is supposed to waiting more could've just made it worse [Posted by: DeMagH | Date: 12/04/07]
6. Great article, very detailed.

7. As always very thorough review, now you must just follow it up with a SLi review vs Crossfire review of the 3850 and 3870 and if you could please include the GTX Sli results as well.

8. Isn't it duly-appreciated time to add Crysis to the benchmarks of lore? :-)

9. "We recommend you to make sure your mainboard supports PCI Express 1.1 before purchasing a GeForce 8800 GT."
Oops, I didn't know that. Fortunately ABIT KN9 (nforce4 Ultra) and Gigabyte 8800GT works flawless. :D Thanks for your review. [Posted by: burebista | Date: 12/04/07]
10. PCI-E 2.0 results should be compared as X38 mobos are already out and tested, anyway great review as always

12. 2560x1600 resolution please.
i heard the 8800GT is rubbish compared to GTX at this resolution. [Posted by: khoa | Date: 12/04/07]
13. When reading X-bit labs video reviews, I'm first looking for the power consumption test page, a special of X-bit labs. What a pity this time there isn't any...

14. This Review is usseles no Radeon3x Series, you cant compare new cards to old ati cards mr Xbit.

15. Leadtek is a horrible company, their customer service stinks. I had a problematic 6800 gt series from them and went through 6 rma's over a 14 month span untill they finally swapped the card out for a 7800gs. I even offered to pay the difference on the 4th rma and they would not allow the swap. Go with a reputable manufacturer who stands behind their product.

17. # Nvidia ForceWare 163.69;
# Nvidia ForceWare 169.02 for GeForce 8800 GT. didnt anyone notice?? the same nvidia cards are compared to eachother with other driver versions?? way to go again Xbitlabs..... + no crysis benchmark?? Maybe it is time to get your act together because the last 6 reviews from graphic cards just sucked.... (including this one) And no way on earth you guys used cat 7.10 :) but we already knew that [Posted by: Veteran | Date: 12/06/07]
18. Useless article.
Show me a single location where you can buy this card for $199 to $249?!? $300 is more like it. Even then, try and find one in stock. [Posted by: Phil | Date: 12/06/07]
19. Great article, you've really outdone yourselves...it's just too bad the market price has gone up since everyone realized it's such a great videocard.

20. hey everyone!
hope there is still a lot of people reading the comments here :o the compatibility problem between the epox board and the leadtek card as mentioned in the review...would that problem be most likely the card's or the mainboard's fault? we would like to buy an 8800gt card but unfortunately have that mainboard so now need to know which card works for sure before buying it :o [Posted by: cleaner | Date: 02/04/08]
