1. It will REALLY be licensed to AMD? Wow, didnt see that one coming =)

2. If sis or via jump in nvidia will be forced to open sli.

3. Seems like a good idea as it should help sell more ATI cards. After all alot of people have Intel chip sets or Sis chip sets with two PCIe Lanes so the possibility of using crossfire on their systems instead of just being stuck on one Nvidia card may appeal to them. It would be nice if it forced SLi to open up to other chipsets other than just NVidia ones.

4. Nvidia should have open up its SLI technology earlier than ATI. But it has its own chipset manufacturing process to protect. ATI is now part of AMD, so the worry is somehow significantly lower than that of Nvidia. If Nvidia now opens its SLI to other chipsets, the conumers will have more choices for their motherboards.
