after comparing the 8500 to the 9770 the 8500 is still the better choice for a 1200.00 difference.

Super fast processor, very stable operation has been pretty good with video editing. faster than the old q6000 series quad cores. So far I've only had it clocked to 3.33GHz where it was stable in my hot case.
Pros:
- Fast and dual core.
- 45nm process means that it produces very little heat.
- Relatively inexpensive.
- Overclocks well.

- No real cons for the processor itself, but some older Core 2 Duo motherboards only support the 65nm process Core 2 Duos, which are the E6xxx and E4xxx series.
