Big up guys!!
your article gives a second life to my old HIS Excalibur Radeon 9000 Pro 64Mb ( 250/200)!!
First I recuperated and modded an old heatsink (for Amd Duron 900) which cools down my GPU very well.
I was able to mod the Vcore and bring my VPU to 340 MHz (+40%increase!!),
The IRU ship is on the top side off my card, But i remade the calculation for the moddin resistance and found that I had to put a 3000 Ohms resistance to raise the Vcore by 10% (unlike the 5.2KOhms you suggest)?!
I decided to add an interruptor so that this Vmod could easily be turned off!!
Note: Iraised the Vcore to a theorical 1.74V, while hou pushed it to 1.78, that isn't a big différence but I was wondering if eaven by raising the Vcore more it was possible to pass the 340 MHz, maybe this is the limit of the Radeon 9000 VPU ?
Now I need to mod the Vmem ( starts having artifacts at 215MHz and crashes above 220MHz) of the Hynix 3.3ns mem ships...
but I can't find the right ships to mod the Vmem, the HIS PCB beeing différent than the Sapphire's.
Any ideas?
Keep on postin' interesting and usefull articles.
