1. Asus Hardware is so good and state of the art but i must say the hole asus company has so lacks of helping the customers when asus send faulty software or firmware for the bios, u can wait for weeks and months for help only i can say look as much as possible on the asus forums for trouble with your mainboard and you wil see there is plenty of it so refue the board the forum before u buy a asus product

2. How's possible this mobo benchmarks are IDENTICAL to those of p5e? I know they have the same printed circuit... but even two exemplars of the same model would present some difference. It's almost impossible to me they perform exactly the same way...

sorry, this comment was to be written for ds5 and dq6 review in which you used p5e benchmarks values as they were from Maximus Formula. I exchanged the browser Tabs.

Thanks to your article, I finally know why my ASUS Maximus Formula wont't automatically adjust my CPU cooler fan rotation speed. Its CPU 'Q-FAN' feature just doesn't work with my Enzotech Ultra Extreme cooler because it features a three-wire connector.

4. As I know, it doesn't accept 4 x DDR3 1600 MHz and above DIMMs. It may create a problem in the future with an upgrade of a memory system.

What about comparison with X48 and it's new possibilities in memory overclocking - MCH Read Delay (tRD). Do you think that it may be possible even with this mobo after BIOS update?

5. Actually Iam surprised that you ver BIOS is the same as mine ,while you PC is a P2 400MHZ ,mine is a P3 735MHZ and was purchased new in October of 2000 ! One of the reasons I have held back on some upgrades ,including a larger H.D. (still have 20G.B.left of 30 Gig H.D.) and a O/S upgrade to XP is out of fear of this type of thing ,flashing the bios with a dial up ,I heard is a risky undertaking ? As of now this PC stil does everything I need it for ,I upgraded the graphics with a graphics card to replace the i810 intergrated graphics, and also installed a sound card for better sound ,added a CD-RW for copying CD,s ,O/S WinMe , so far all is good ! I do believe there is a BIOS flash for this version of the Award BIOs, have you done a search on ggole or go to Awards web site ! I also believe that there is a charge for this ,however I may be wrong on that !

6. I think there have some result this motherboard did not support 3 pin Fan, it is because since it is a high class motherboard we have to use high class items.

7. what happened to the backlight of the i/o back plate at the back of the pc?

Mine does not light blue is it disabled? or what?

el i/o back plate is gone? pfff

9. Found the findings of the Vcore not dropping very interesting. Surly Asus can fix that with an Bios upgrade?
