1. well, i guess this is turning out to be a very interesting year for intel I'd say. Looking forward for the detailed prices, frequencies and features. Would be nice to feel the difference of the integrated triple channel memory controller + hyper-threading over my current quads and duals.

AMD/ATi needs some new, fresh line of products to overcome these features because in the worst case scenario for intel, hyper threading will be proven useless "as it was before" while performance will remain the same or a bit more enhanced than their current line of processors, in the best case scenario, AMD will need 2 other years to catch up or something OR may be some crossfireX licensing

4. I don't know why the f**k does intel always launches xeon processors initially. Can't they release desktop CPU's first.

News Flash They make more profit selling to businesses than you buying a desktop PC at bestbuy. The Corporate and server markets will always come first before the consumer market.
You must be new to this game, it has been like this forever and will not change.

5. They launches Xeon first, because are low volume, high cost and they have time to ramp production.

And need server workstation certification, you can buy one before they sell complete machines.

6. quote : "a new type of processor bus called Intel Quick Path Interconnect (QPI)"......
as new as an IMC..QPI is nothing else than a copy of hypertransport bus...
