2. Why do all these MB's that support DDR2 and DDR3 only support 4GB DDR3?

3. Seems like a solid mobo and looks like a box of lego.

4. Re the absence of BIOS updates 'is a good sign'
Or more likely just lazy programmers or they are just not interested in selling this board to overclockers which this board IS targeted to Very disappointing but to be expected from Foxconns previous efforts [Posted by: alpha0ne | Date: 03/29/08]
5. RJ45 port does not explain a whole lot. Is it 10.100 or 10/100/1000?

6. Asus is where its at - evga is the back for nvidia systems and gigabyte for intel. As far as fox, well their high end stuff is all show and no go - time and time again the fail to solve the issues in their inferior bios.
Do not waste your money or time, asus is it! [Posted by: Dragonsprayer | Date: 04/01/08]
7. I have flashed the 08 bios and it takes care of the unlockable multiplier. With an E8400 I have managed a stable FSB of 420 but no higher. Disappointing but it gives around 3.8ghz. I have an 09 bios and will get round to it soon.

8. Yes Overclocking this board is not so easy but possible:
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview [...] 230&page=4 "Starting at 333 MHz FSB the motherboard clock speed was increased in small 5 MHz increments. Without much difficulty the Foxconn DigitaLife X38A passed the 400 MHz mark. At 430 MHz the NB voltage needed a slight bump, to 0.2V above stock. That stabilized the motherboard and allowed it to go higher. At 485 MHz the motherboard again started to show signs of instability, this time the voltage had to be increased 0.3V above stock. That allowed the Digitalife X38A motherboard to pass the 500 MHz barrier! Here's yet another awesome overclocking Intel X38 Express motherboard! The Foxconn DigitaLife X38A motherboard overclocked to an amazing 555 MHz FSB and that is the highest we've ever pushed a motherboard! MSI, Asus and Gigabyte better watch out... Foxconn is taking names and kicking things up a notch!" [Posted by: anon | Date: 05/30/08]
