Until bluray movies are priced competitively with DVD movies the bluray format will remain a niche product

What a wuss! He probably almost lost his job for telling the truth. Fact is though is that he's right on the money. BRD is a waste of money especially for storage. Your local Best Buy or equivalent sells blank 20Gb discs for $20 each. All for a disc that takes 45 minutes to burn. He's or she's right, flash media is cheaper and contrary to what the last sentence in the article implies you don't need to use solid state memory.

Thinking about this again has me in amazement. Standard hard drives are less than $1 per GB. Blue-Ray storage costs more than physical memory and it reads much slower as well. All Sony wants is to create another BetaMax so they can own a monopoly on HD media. It's starting to look like BetaMax in the same fashion too, being overpriced and becoming obsolete. LOL

Well, can't u guys notice all the latest BluRay/HD-DVD manufacturer ignoring the THX feature in their new "HD" grade audio products?

Even Denon, a solid THX supporter back to the VHS/LD days, has no integraded receiver featuring THX technologies in there latest "For BluRay/HD-DVD" line.

So that's why THX need to come out to bullshit something~!

I am more into stores that provides TV Show and Movie downloads than wasting money on these formats. Hard copies are obsolete. Download business is the future.
