1. 2 of this babyes in RAID will be faster than solid state drive like 1.5x times...

These Hitachi's sound very nice :)

how about bigger buffers on these and the WDs /any hdd's? They should use some large capacity flash sort of memory in there.

3. Sorry but the claim of "World’s Largest .." already went to Seagate last year when they announced their 15K.6 family upto 450GB (base 10 not base 2) and then the 1000GB Barracuda ES.2 (7200rpm) both available with SAS interfaces (enterprise ready).
The WD Raptor has now been shrunk to a 2.5" in 3.5" heatsink with faster full-stoke and lower average latency but only 300GB named the VelociRaptor. Ofcourse you can already buy faster than VelociRaptor 2.5" 15Krpm Savvio (currently ~73GB, soon to be 146GB?) but it's no where near 300GB.
