Yay! Let's play barely-above-youtube-quality 700mb screeners on our $2000 HDTVs! lol

About time and I hope all HDTV's will embrace this ASAP

A good Divx/AVI/MPG ripped movie can be very hard to tell the difference from the original and is the preferred format used by most ppl who keep a movie library on HDD/home server

"The DivX and its brother XviD formats are used to distribute copyright protection-free movies typically by the Internet and usually without content producer approval."

This is a misleading statement. WMV, Quicktime, Flash, MP3 and MP4 are all commonly used to illegally distribute media. Meanwhile, there are many companies using the DivX Video On Demand system to distribute protected content to the 100+ Million devices that support DivX DRM. DivX Inc. does not provide any tools for circumventing copy protection systems.
