1. Informative, good info straight up, the way it needs to be explained. Thanx

2. I have passed your review round the office, and we unanimously conclude that you were working with faulty memory.

Every single problem that you have experienced, reflects memory problems.

We would be very interested to see if you can redo some of your tests with a different set of memory because your results do not conform with what we are seeing elsewhere.

Thanks.

3. I think you may have missed out on many of more intricate subtleties of this board. It seems like a lot of options were missed that could increase/decrease stability in the Bios....it's not just a "raise the voltage" matter.

Take a look at the Anandtech review of the DFI-X48. While they were not able to run stable at 500FSB either, they were able to bring down memory latencies and increase throughput favorably on this board.

4. The reviewer's incompetency to use GTL Ref properly when overclocking the Q9300 is a disgrace!

5. It would have been nice for this article to have included a comparison of the overclocking capability of the X38 and X48 boards when using the same CPU and memory. It's not often that you find two motherboards that are essentially identical except the chipset, so this would have been a good opportunity to evaluate how much better the X48 is than the previous chipset. As it is, the article represents an interesting discussion of a series of experiments, but I'm not so sure it can be called a review per se.
