Needs more power phases for the CPU, not to mention it has some of the cheapest looking chipset cooling I've ever seen.

+1 for the IP35 Pro - its a good board that overclocks very well.

-1 for the IP35 V recommend. Not in the same league as the Pro for overclocking.

But for the different SB chipset and the addition of a SB cooler, the appearance of the plain "P" looks very much like the "V".

I often get the impression that Abit boards are designed by colour-blind people (this isn't their worst).

I wonder if anyone tried overclocking this board with a fan blowing at that rather unremarkable northbridge heatsink?

the IP35P & V are both budget mobos ~1/2 the price of an IP35 Pro.

btw, when you flashed the XE BIOS to the Pro is your Pro an original or the later V1.1?
It apparently works OK on a V1.1.

for gods sake abit have you lost all your good engineers ?
I mean wtf look at NF7 and those P35 boards now.

Not only these p35 suck but even look as cheap as a 3euro Jetway.

It's very much a budget mobo that's not expected to OC as well as the Pro. Not sure why lots of people expected it to do miracles.

it seems like a decent board to me... i mean is low end what do u expect...

what i hate in general about this low end boards is that they usually only have 2 fan headers... that's a deal breaker for me...

What i like about abit is that they put enough fan headers even on budget boards, and the advanced fan control

I got this board bout 2 weeks ago and its doing wonders for me! It runs my E8400 and 9600GT without any problems..and at very low temps as well! It does everything it says it can! Being a low/mid range board.. thats what u should be keeping in mind before criticizing a good piece of hardware! Not everyone has the budget to invest in a overpriced motherboard that does almost exactly the same as most low-end boards..except for better OC features! I mean..if your looking to OC ur CPU to the max..and spend lotz of moola on ur mobo..why not then just buy a faster CPU instead..one which u dont have to OC! The people that are constantly criticising boards just coz they don't retail at the price of small cars.. are shallow money wasters that don't appreciate what hardware components have achieved from the days where u had 486's. If the the people saying this board sucks had properly done their homework..they'd had known that this board was in fact a low-end board and they wouldn't have even read the review..coz the idea is not to look at this board from a OC point of view!
