Aleksey, why don't you flip the power supply for nsk 3480 case?
The cable will be closer to the side hole in that way.

The P182 allows you to run the power cables behind the motherboard. My power supply did have longer than normal cables.

How could you bastardize the review of the Antec P182. Is is the greatest case since the AMG1000 range from Antec

This comment is completely false:
"The assembly and the laying-out of cables provoke no problems but I could not make the interior neat. I wish the case were a couple centimeters longer so that the back of the graphics card were not so close to the top cage."

How about using one important features this case has... Cable management behind motherboard tray. There are multiple notches to latch the cables onto, and there are multiple entry and exit point for PSU cables to reach various parts of mainboard and drivebays.

Here is a snip from Antec site as well if you cant see it yourslef

"Cable organizers behind motherboard tray minimize cable clutter"

The only thing required is a descent PSU as running cables being the back of the mainboard tray and over the top require long cable reach. Most people cashing out for this case will have a descent PSU and thus would have no problems.

Also it seems you did not read the manual, you're install the 120mm fan backwards into the cage. It uses the cage as a tunnel to suck the cool air from the front and blow onto the VGA area. This is THE best case on the market and i've been looking for cases to replace my AMG1000 Plus view for the last 4 years. It was only bettered by it's own reiteration which replaced the 80mm rear fans with a 120mm.

I got to page three and had to write something... i hope the rest of the review tightens up on the above problems.

After finishing the article you seem to have covered msot areas well. Aside from bagging the P182 for wrong reasons, i believe you forgot to take a few things into consideration.

DUST - You need to take into account filtration systems or lack off, where some chassis may be cooler then others lack of filtration will hamper cooling system with excessive dust contamination over time, rendering internal component cooling more useless (eg. VGA fans, CPU fan etc.)

Coming from the retail industry many years ego and now working in the corporate world, most users spend cash on fancy gear but only 20% maintain it.

Features that aid the user in maintained, ease of use, and compatibility with office and hope spaces, ease of use in dark and light rooms in all applications etc are all something to be noted.

Very few want a glowing case in a dark rook when you are playing FEAR, or DOOM3. LAN Mobility is also a factor to be mentioned.

I've built with both the Nine Hundred and P182... I have to say I vastly prefer the Nine Hundred. Yes you can make the P182 neat, and yeah its by using the cable management provided. However, I found myself removing some of the extra plastic pieces that were to act as guides, shields, etc from the power supply 'compartment' as they got in the way. Further, even with some very decent power supplies, you would need an extender on the 8pin Mobo 12v cable to route all over the place in the P182. This is not so in the Nine Hundred, as you can simple run it back along the PS and up the back edge.

As different cases are favoured by different folks, I am sure we all have our own favorites and could argue over them for days. Personally tho, and it is an opinion many others I know share; I prefer the Nine Hundred, and use on myself. The CM Stacker variants are also up above the P182 on my list. Perhaps it comes down to my liking an open environment vs compartment after compartment after compartment to route through.

IMHO Nine Hundred > P182

Sonata has been around for ever and its a great standard case with some above standard extras. Antec is my main case supplier, that is i use more antecs then all others combined, the 182 and 180 series are my bread and butter quiet system and the antec 900 is the case to be copied and its the case all others want to copy. The problem in the line up is the nsk1380 - this case is terrible at cooling. I will admitt that my experince goes back to cooling P4's, not the core 2 type, the northwood and prescott type and this case sucks! I cut holes and added fans in 3 places and the case is still teriible. The psu location to cpu location is the worst in the industry - why this case is still exists is beyound me! Bottom line: Antec rocks the new 12 hundred is geat the 900 is still great even with the new NXZT copy, the 182 is in class by inseld but the little box is bad news!

I recently purchased the 900, & have still to build my setup. It would be nice to a have a listing of powere supplies that suit the bottom mounting of this & other similar cases.

in the p182 the power led is not behind the door - but above and to the right of the firewire port on the front panel with all the connectors. the HDD led is the one behind the door. If the led in front isn't lit, then you mush have improperly connected it.

Regarding the 3480, you can 'flip' the PSU, which puts the cables on the 'good' side, and you gain some 13cm length.

"The internal side of the front panel left me perplexed. There is a slit in the chassis a card-reader might fit into but the front panel doesn’t allow that as it has no opening there."

This chassis is carried forward from the Antec Aria which did have a card reader.

I have a P180 and a P182 case both with ASUS motherboards. The biggest difference I noticed, and was surprised you did not highlight it more, was the wireway behind the motherboard panel. I found that I was able to lead most of the power cables up behind the board and the SATA cables are also mostly behind the board. The end result is a very clear path for the cooling air. This improvement from the P180 to the P182 is very significant. I would love to show you a picture of my installation but am not sure how to do it on your site.

I have one. The power button gets stuck on the front panel. I got tired of dealing with it and cut the top off the front panel.

just to point out you can route the cables out the back of the p182 and behind the other side panel and bring them in by the upper hdd cage also a hole for the 8 pin mb connector by the roof fan.

just one note:

Why this Zalman is on this way??

I mean, if you could put it pushing the hot air out of the case (from right to left), why is from bottom to top?

sorry for my english.
