Well think of it like this, you purchased a card from nVIDIA. If you knew the market or knew their position in the market, and you carefully thought out your purchase, then yes, it would suck, but you cannot blame a company for competing to stay alive. I hate to say it, but I want nVIDIA around to combat ATi. That's why the cards get so much better. Intel tries, but seriously, if it was Intel vs. ATi... Think about it. 1/2 or more of the market would be covered by Intel then. At least w/ nVIDIA around, even though some Intel boards support CrossFireX, Intel would prefer to support nVIDIA because AMD doesn't make any money that way on Intel board purchases. See where I'm going?
I'm saying it's good that nVIDIA did that. Finally they saw the light. It's your fault for buying the card at such a high price when it came out, BUT, think of it like this, you paid for having the card 4 months early. If you didn't use it in that time, be mad at yourself. If you did use it in that time, be happy nVIDIA is going to start charging you less. Get an SLI mobo and buy another one now that it's affordable or just be happy that your next card purchase will be even faster and better for ~$150 less. Isn't that awesome? No reason to be mad at a company for lowering their prices and selling more of their product so they can produce better and faster cards and keep a competitive edge. If people have to actually think, nVIDIA or ATi, then that's a good thing. If they know right away, ATi, then nVIDIA is screwed out of the retail market and would have to be like Intel in the OEM base (which they've practically lost).
