Thanks for linking a CPU review angry fanboy. And why sould they soot themselves? Everyone knows xbit is caught in a time wrap, so their graphic reviews are always a few months late.
So give all the bashing a rest already and chill.
Read techreport.com and fold for them too.

WHAT?! no widescreen resos in BF2142? you frickin nuts!? someone been drinking to much coffee benchmarking all night rather than keeping an eye on the ball.

Download the lastest 1.50 patch for BF2142 and once installed right click on the BF2142.exe and select "Properties". once in Properties in the "Target" field replace: +fullscreen 1 with
+widescreen 1

Once you've done that, Run BF2142, into the Options section, into 'Video' and from the resolution pulldown menu you should see the widescreens resolutions available to use. (16:10 and 16:9 are available)

P.S. an update or using this in your next benchmarks would be sweet :wink wink:

The power consumptipon of all cards at idle is simply amazing, I would describe them simply as power hogs... The 4870 with its 65W is truly a disaster, I'm sure that a high-end dualcore would consume less under full load. I wonder if it would be feasible to offload the 2D part to a separate, low-end chip on the PCB and simply shut off all the 3D stuff when it's not needed. Following this path, we may see cards consuming close to 100W at idle soon, which is simply ridiculous.
