Huh? What'd you do to the HX1000? On other sites it came out just fine under heavy load, almost no ripple and stable voltages. You musta gotten a duff unit.

I really enjoy reading articles here @xbitlabs because one can see right away that the guys know what they are writing about. I would trust the results obtained here much more than those posted on some other fancy sites, perhaps from guys with mediocre knowledge in electrotechnics, to say the least.

And just to stay on topic... I don't see who the hell on earth would need a 1kW power supply nowadays, anyway (and how about 1,5kW..). 2x4870X2 Crossfire, you might say, but given that even one such card is over the top, I can't imagine anyone in his right mind spending a massive amount of cash for a second one.
