Should be interesting to notice thow, that if I7 have supported DDR2 mems, some high-end DDR2-1200 modules would have wipe the floor with any of those ultra expensive DDR3 mems, either in duble or triple channel...

Very interesting article, made for a good read.

For future overclockers out there I might disgree with the conclusion. Newegg sells 6GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600 memory for $82 shipped AMIR... half the cost of the "dominator" model reviewed here but get identical specs & performance. Other brands have begun hitting as low as $60 for 1600MHz kits. http://www.newegg.com/Pro...aspx?Item=N82E16820145236

Have also seen various 3GB DDR3-1600 kits hitting $40 shipped AMIR now as well, so skimping on memory won't save much. Just my opinion though...

why for 1.65V, it is to cover the line drop? or to increase the speed?
