I purchased 3 Samsung Ecogreen F2s for my storage drives in my home server. Hopefully Samsung releases a firmware update to fix some of the issues you encountered. Overall I am not worried about it though since they are going to be used for data storage (movies, music).

What about the noise?
I'm very interested in noise comparison - I need a disk with 1,5-2,0 TB capacity but only a silent one...The disks have already about 3-4 platters so how does this looks in terms of noise?
please help ;p
