i think the new generation it quite ok. however i see you do power measurements using a sk1366 cpu overclocked and using a 1500watt psu.

Excelent test. Well, let's be honest, the 69xx cards are just an evolution to the 57xx series, not a new architecture. Hopefully the next generation will bring some more improvements.

AMD still has the powerfull card in the market the HD 5970, which also consume less than GTX 480 or 580. So, no, AMD wins in pure performance )

I liked that this review included some games that other sites left out, but I didn't like the way you measured the card's sound level. Most cards will never spin the fans at full speed when gaming so the noise level at max speed isn't as important. I would like to see a comparison of their volume under a heavy gaming load such as Metro 2033 or Crysis.
